Hi, friends! I’m dusting off the ole’ keyboard to blog for the first time in WAY too long, and this crazy awesome bathroom remodel is the muse that inspired me to do it! The before and afters are so stunning that I couldn’t resist sharing them with you any longer!
I’m calling this the “such great heights” bathroom because of the huge vaulted ceiling in the shower. (Yay for good bones to begin with, amiright fellow designers?!) The vertical subway tile we decided to put in just emphasized that feature and made it look so tall and spacious and glorious! Seriously, these results are just SO GOOD.
So, here’s what we did in a nutshell: The vanity area of this master bath had already been re-done by the homeowners a few years back, so the main focus for this remodel was to: A) reinvent the shower space to make it bigger and brighter with more storage, and to, B) create a fun little make-up vanity area with plenty of storage and maximized functionality as well. This turned out to be a super cute feature with a shiplap accent wall, vanity cabinet (would you believe this was an IKEA hack?!) with a butcher block top, a big beautiful mirror and all new lighting! The layout of this room is tight, so we did our best to make things look bigger and brighter and more spacious with cosmetic fixes since gutting and starting over was not an option. We chose to use lots of glossy bright whites, glass and big mirrors to bounce the light around. Then, I wanted it to top it all off and make it feel like a real retreat with some lush greenery and fun details like a gorgeous woven rug and Turkish towels to give the space some texture and personality.
Check out the before and afters below, and as always, drop me a comment and let me know what you think!

Alyssa
